청춘 이란 인생의 어떠한 시기가 아니라 어떤 마음가짐을 뜻하나니
장미빛 볼, 붉은 입술, 강인한 육신을 뜻하지 아니하고

1840년 독일 슈튜트가르트 출생하여, 1851년 미국으로 이주 ,
1900년까지 교육사업과 사회활동에 업적을 남겼다.
1901년 흑인을 위해 울만스쿨을 세우는 등 지도자로서,
유대교 신자이며 정의를 신봉하고 평화를 사랑하며
학대받는 이들을 위해 헌신한 인물이다.
<맥아더 장군이 태평양 전쟁당시 일본에 패주했을때
맥아더 장군의 집무실에는 루즈벨트 당시 대통령과
본시가 걸려있었다고 한다.
일본장교가 이를 입수하여 일본내 기업가들을
